Declaration of Independence
John Trumbull's painting, commissioned in 1817, shows his vision of what it may have looked like when the Declaration drafting committee presented their draft to the Continental Congress in 1776. However, Trumbull was not there at the time and there are numerous inaccuracies in his painting. This image is also on the back of the two-dollar bill.
